DESCRIPTION
The $715 million expansion of generating capacity on the existing Mica Dam, near Revelstoke, BC, involves the addition of two new turbines. Year round construction activities required an avalanche safety plan with active avalanche control and passive structural defence measures. Anticipated completion spring 2015.
