DESCRIPTION

Civil site works for a significant expansion of the existing Elkford Fire Hall including on-site storm water disposal and grading design.

Since the project location was many hours’ drive from office, I conveyed my site inspection report as an infographic drawing sheet with embedded photos detailing particular requirements. This was very well received by the general contractor, as the construction crew was able to clearly visualize the inspection results in the field office, address follow up questions with me over the telephone, then confirm satisfactory completion with updated photos sent electronically. This removed the need for additional costly site visits and thereby saved the client a notable portion of the civil engineering consulting fees.
